Major Website Improvements:

Planned Future Improvements: Fix Google Search Console issues so that all proper pages are indexed onto Google. Completely revolutionize the website to be less reliant on Bootstrap and more reliant on my own code.

January 20, 2022 - Page Position Mapping Improvement: Improved the line of text under the search box that maps the location of the specific page in reference to parent pages by making the mapping generate automatically and for every formal page on the site rather than just for the 1st level subpages. Also updated the Skiing page to include recent skiing videos and expanded owner notification when someone gets rickrolled on the site.

December 6, 2021 - Navigation Bar Improvement: Added dropdown menus to the navigation bar so that every formal page and subpage on the website can be accessed from it. Improves navigability. Also improved the background image customization function, fixed YouTube iframe sizing issues, and made an XML sitemap for visibility on Google Search.

November 24, 2021 - Background Image Customization: Updated some photos and added a functionality to the header template using PHP so that each page can have its own background image instead of using the website default photo. Also added more content to various pages, particularly the Coding page, created a Skiing page, organized the navigation bar, organized the image folder, created a 404 page, and renamed all the folders to change the url format from CamelCase to hyphen-case.

November 23, 2021 - JSON Revolution: Restructured every page to be based on a central JSON file containing each page's id, name, synopsis, url, and image url. If I ever decide to change a page's name, synopsis, url, or image, the changes will immediately be reflected on every other page that references that page.

April 1, 2021 - Calculator Page: Created a useful calculator page that can quickly prime factorize numbers, a calculation that's often used in mathematics.

March 17, 2021 - Caching Revolution: Fixed the longtime problem of caching causing browsers to not show new updates. Used PHP to force browsers not to cache the pages and to append a url parameter to the end of each resource equiavalent to the date the file was last modified, allowing them to use any cached versions such long as the file hasn't been modified since cached. Ensures that all changes are reflected immediately while still ensuring pages load fast.

March 16, 2021 - Contact Me Form: Created a Contact Me page that used PHP to submit contact forms, implementing Google's reCAPTCHA into it as well.

March 11, 2021 - Logo Change: Changed the logo to the sunset landscape photo.

March 10, 2021 - PHP Revolution: Restructured every page to be based on PHP, using the language to have standardized headers and footers so that an update of the template files would automatically reflect on every page. This fixes a longtime burden with developing my website. Also added an automatically-updating Page Last Updated line at the footer of each page.

May 5, 2020 - Ads: Integrated Google Adsense to embed ads into the pages.

March 18, 2020 - char787.com Domain: Migrated my website onto the new char787.com domain with a hosting service that includes professional emails and SSL.

April 9, 2019 - First Use of School Page: Put a school project on the School page for the first time. This would be the beginning of the development of this page into a hub for my school projects.

March 19, 2019 - char787.tk Domain: The birth of this website. Registered a free char787.tk domain. Used YouTube tutoruals and Bootstrap to develop my website. See what this website used to look like at the Old page.
